Three Months Of Stetson Ray

Family

These posts never really seem to get easier to make. But at the same time, they are some of my favorite posts to make.

My Stetson boy is 3 months old today. Halloween! We are going out as a cowboy space crew! (Because in order to get my husband to dress up at all, it has to be cowboy something lol)

This past month I feel like I’ve seen so much growth and so many changes in our little guy. His personality is really starting to come out and he is a very smiley and happy baby overall.

What’s new with Stetson?

When I say little guy, I do mean little. At his most recent doctor appointment he was only in the 2nd percentile for height and weight. So he’s still just a little peanut.

He was put on reflux medication by his doctor because he has been spitting up quite a bit since he was born and his doctor thinks he’s not gaining weight because of it.

The medication does seem to be working which is a blessing. But in between that, I feel like Stetson has been going through growth spurts. So he has had some pretty fussy days which are never fun.

Officially a Crib sleeper

My heart kinda hurts typing that out because it’s a bittersweet feeling moving my little baby from our room to his own room.

I’ve been preparing for this by having him take naps in there during the day. But nothing prepares you for how much you miss them not being right next to you in a bassinet.

But I’m so proud of how well he sleeps and how easy he makes nights on me. I lucked out with this one for sure.

Leg kicks

Stetson is all smiles after he wakes up and has a full belly. We are so close to hearing a laugh! But no true laugh has happened yet, just some funny noises he makes when he tries.

One of my favorite things he’s learned are leg kicks. When he’s sitting in his little rocker chair, he kicks his legs a bunch and it’s literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.

Do I sound like a true mom yet??

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with friends this month and carved pumpkins too! It’s so fun getting to do things together as a family for the first time, and I’m really excited for when he’s just a bit older and can really experience it for himself.

Until then, I’m soaking in all the newborn cuddles because I know my baby is almost out of that “newborn” category now. Oofff

No one prepares you for this part of motherhood I swear!
