Being a new mom can be scary and overwhelming but also the most precious time you could ever imagine! In this post are all of my new mom favorites and essentials I think you should consider for both you and your baby during postpartum care!

 

For Baby

 

1. This Diaper Rash Cream was a game changer with my son. He would get really bad diaper rash pretty often and nothing seemed to work except for this. It would be gone or almost gone over night.
2. These nail trimmers saved me a lot of heart ache. The first time I tried to cut my babies nails was super traumatic for me because I would get them a little too close and make them bleed. It was awful. But this has saved me from all of that! They are super easy to use and almost impossible to get their nails too short.
3. This sleep sack might look kinda funny (in the cutest way) but my son absolutely loved it so I had to get more for my daughter. Hopefully she loves it as much as he did! If you have a baby that isn’t a big fan of being swaddled or always seems to want to sleep with their arms up, give this a try!
4. Not sure what direction to go for a travel system? There’s a lot out there and some are so expensive! We ended up landing on this one and have LOVED it! It’s affordable, easy to use, and has great ratings!

For Mama

 

Postpartum is no joke. You are so full of joy to have this precious new gift in the world, but there are days where you feel totally sad and overwhelmed by it all. That roller coaster of emotions is enough to make anyone feel insane. But don’t worry mama! It’s totally natural and you are not alone.

 

Below I have included some of my top items that I think any mama should have for her recovery postpartum days. Some are necessities, and some are just fun little things!

 

1. A good water jug. I know that Stanley cups are all the craze and maybe a bit over the top but I’m not going to lie they are worth it. But if you don’t want to spend $50 on a water bottle, here is a cheaper option that will get the job done!
2. This pumping & nursing bra: This is my first time nursing, and so far I really enjoy this bra! It’s affordable and comfy and doesn’t feel like too much fabric. I want coverage of course, but I hate when bras feel like way too much and I get sensory overload.
3. Lactation bites: If you are breastfeeding, these are a great way to keep up you milk supply! There’s also a lot of other things to do for this as well! I definitely recommend speaking with a lactation consultant.
4. Lounge sets: Seriously though, after you have a baby you are not going to feel your cutest. And if you lay around in frumpy t shirts you will just feel more lousy. I truly do recommend getting a cute and comfy matching set that helps you feel a bit more put together and even stylish. If nothing else but for your mental state.
