Bailee Cooper has her PhD, is a Dietitian, a west Texas native, and is passionate about supporting rural communities with nutrition education and supporting the rural way of life through accurate science based information. Her business is focused on supporting rural communities who don’t have access to professional nutrition counseling. She also speaks on nutrition topics that are controversial such as beef and plant based.
In our conversation we cover a variety of topics including the controversial current event on whether or not lucky charms are healthier than beef.
Focusing On Rural Communties
During out conversation Bailee tells the audience why she decided to make it her primary focus to serve rural communities. She says that often times people who live in rural areas have limited resources when it comes to their nutrition. And access to a dietitian can be nearly impossible.
Her mission is to provide those places with the help they need to live sustainable lifestyles for day to day life or for more specific industries such as rodeo athletes. Bailee also has been making a lot of content pertaining to pregnant women and breastfeeding mamas because she knows how important it is to take care of yourself during those critical seasons of life.
The Great Debate
Recently a new food pyramid has gone viral after it was discussed on the Joe Rogan podcast. The pyramid states that Lucky Charms is actually a healthier option than beef. Obviously this sparked a ton of outrage and has been all over the internet. I was so happy to bring this topic up with Bailee and hear her thoughts. And they may actually surprise you!
