You’ve heard of Tacos, and you’ve heard of Spaghetti… but have you heard of Taco Spaghetti?

So while I wish I could say this was entirely my idea, I cannot take credit for this dish. I cannot even take credit for finding the recipe for this dish. My husband Tyler is notorious for sending me random TikTok videos of food and recipes and this was one of them. I will link the original video at the bottom of this post if you would like to check it out.

If you and your family are big cheese lovers and fans of anything that remotely tastes like a taco, this is a recipe you have to try.

I compared it to tasting like Taco Bell, while others have said that it reminds them of hamburger helper. I’ll let you be the judge of that!

How To Prepare Taco Spaghetti

The recipe for Taco Spaghetti is literally so easy, that after making it once, you’ll be able to do it with your eyes closed.

You start off by preheating your oven to 350 degrees and then spraying an 11×13 inch pan with oil, then set it aside.

From there you will boil a pot of water and add the entire box of Spaghetti (or whatever you prefer, personally I like having leftovers!)

While the Spaghetti is boiling, on another pan you are going to brown your meat. We have been using ground turkey for this recipe but ground beef totally works also!

Add taco seasoning to the meat once mostly cooked, then add in 1 can of original Rotel tomatoes (do not drain), and mix. After that is mixed together, add in 1 can of cream of chicken soup and mix well.

From there, you are going to take some Velvetta cheese (however much you want, but I usually do about half the stick) and cube it up. Take the cubes and add them to the pan, occasionally mixing until the cheese is fully melted.

Drain your cooked pasta, and add the meat mixture to the Spaghetti noodles.

Mix everything together and then pour it into your greased pan. Spread it out evenly then add some shredded cheese to the top. Place the pan in the oven until the cheese is melted and bam! You are all done and ready to enjoy this yummy dish!

Ingredients

  • Ground beef or ground turkey (1 pound)
  • 1 can of Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • Spaghetti (1 pound)
  • Velvetta cheese (8 0z)
  • Shredded cheese
  • Taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Spray an 11×13 pan with oil of your choice and set aside
  3. Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil on the stove
  4. Once the water is boiling, add in your spaghetti noodles.
  5. While the spaghetti is cooking, in a separate pan, add your ground beef/turkey and cook until browned
  6. Add in taco seasoning to the meat
  7. Once browned, add the can of Rotel tomatoes to the pan (do not drain)
  8. Then add in the can of Cream of chicken soup
  9. mix everything together
  10. Cube the Velvetta cheese and add into the pan and cook until completely melted, stirring occasionally
  11. After the cheese is all melted and mixed in, drain the pot of pasta noodles and pour the meat mixture into the noodles and mix everything together
  12. Pour everything into the 11×13 pan and spread out
  13. Add shredded cheese to the top and then stick the pan into the oven until the cheese on top has melted
  14. Enjoy!
