I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with up and coming reality star, Charli Alayna. And let me tell you, this girl is building a name for herself in the western industry! She recently began a huge collaboration with the one and only COWGIRL Magazine as well as starting her new apparel line. Overall, she is just your average cowboy wife, enjoying her day to day lifestyle out in Montana.

It was such a joy to chat with Charli and learn a little bit more about her story and where she plans to head from here and I cannot wait for you to take a listen too!

About Charli

Charli Alayna is the wife of a cowboy living in rural Montana with their German Shepard pup. She recently has gotten to collaborate with COWGIRL magazine who is producing a video series of her life entitled, “Through the Eyes of Charli”, now available on Tiktok. She is also launching a women owned camouflage and western wear company that will go live on August 1, 2022.

Was It Hard Getting Into The Western Industry?

Because she didn’t grow up in the rural lifestyle, Charli was faced with certain challenges. But this girl never let that stand in her way. She had to fight her way to get into this lifestyle since she was a little girl by spending any free chance she could to go work at barns and be around horses. After her husband started working jobs as a Cowboy she believes it helped her ease into the lifestyle a lot faster and has been more widely accepted because of it.

How Did You Get Involved With COWGIRL Magazine?

Originally Charli had reached out to COWGIRL Magazine about something else, but was presented with the opportunity to share her story through her own eyes in a video series on TikTok. Since the series has kicked off, Charli has said she found great community and other women and people who are going through similar things as she is. It’s been such a fun space to share about the cowboy lifestyle as a whole and less about just the job itself.

Micro Influencers Working With Brands

A popular misconception is that you have to have hundreds of thousands of followers in order to start working with brands and that just simply is not true. Charli says she was collaborating with brands when she only had 1000 followers and that it is possible for anyone, but you have to put in the work.

Most brands, especially larger ones are looking for good engagement rates, not just follower count. So if you have a lot of people interacting with you online, then you are already a step ahead!

She says do not be afraid to shoot your shot and reach out to brands and companies. You cannot expect them all to just find you. And do not let the fear of being rejected hold you back. If Charli would have never reached out to COWGIRL Magazine, this opportunity never would have fallen into her lap.
