It’s official, I started a podcast! In this first episode I am telling you about me, my story, and the journey that got me to be here. I am also going to be touching on what you can expect from this podcast and why I chose the name Branded Cowgirl.
WHO AM I?
I’m a western photographer, a brand educator, a Fiancé, a crazy horse lady, and a wanna be inspirational speaker. Currently, I am 24 years old from a small town in Northern California but residing in Northern, Nevada.
My Fiancé is named Tyler and he is a cowboy from Montana. We met over two years ago when he hired me to fly out to train his horses. Our story is pretty wild, but I will leave that for another episode. He’s my biggest supporter, my best friend, and a man of the Lord. Without him, I literally would not have this Podcast right now.
I started my very first business when I was just 17 years old. Back then, I was giving horseback riding lessons to kids and that turned into my horse training career while simultaneously also working on my wedding photography business.
After high school, I went to college and got my Associates degree in Photography and then went to another college to get a degree in horse training (yes that is a real thing). While living at home I managed to make my full time income running to the beat of my own drum which was a really cool accomplishment for me at such a young age.
Aside from a few short term part time jobs here and there, I have never worked a traditional 9-5 job and now I have found a passion in teaching other entrepreneurs how to do the same thing.
ABOUT THIS PODCAST
The name “Branded Cowgirl” is a play on words. “Branded” is a verb within the agriculture industry and ranching lifestyle. Ranchers brand their livestock to show that they own it. A brand is their own unique mark that no one else can duplicate.
Similarly, branding in business shows how you stand out from the rest. It represents who you are, tells your story, and it is something that no one else can perfectly copy. Your branding is the way you speak, the way you dress, the emotions you give off. It is so much more than just a logo or color palette.
The word “Cowgirl” is also something very special to me. A cowgirl is a strong, confident, independent woman, who has a big heart, a love for family, God, and all creations. Being a cowgirl means to live life to the beat of your own drum and have that fire inside of you that pushes you towards the next best thing. It’s so much more than just something you wear.
My hope is that even if you do not relate to the western way of life, that you are still inspired to make the most of your days, and chase those dreams you have. We only get one life to live, and it’s way too short to waste working a 9-5 job you absolutely hate.
