If you are struggling to figure out what to put in your photography investment guide, then you have come to the right place. When I first started my photography business I used to think all I needed was a one page sheet that listed out my packages. Nothing explaining the process, or my brand. Just a black and white paper with some numbers and bullet points. Oh how far baby photographer Sarah has come.
Your investment guide is so much more than a packages list. It’s a deeper look inside of your brand and what you are offering people. This is one of your main selling points. If someone was interested enough to ask for your investment guide, that is step one. You have them hooked. But now you need to actually catch them!
I am going to be sharing the key sections you should have in order to showcase your services the best, and help your potential clients feel totally confident with booking you!
1. Introduction
- Welcome Message: Personalize a warm introduction that reflects your brand.
- Philosophy: Briefly explain your photography style, approach, and what sets you apart.
- What Clients Can Expect: An overview of your commitment, process, and focus on delivering quality.
2. Packages and Pricing
- Package Breakdown: List each package, detailing what is included (e.g., hours of coverage, number of photos, types of sessions like engagement or bridal).
- A La Carte Options: Highlight any additional offerings like albums, prints, extra hours, or second shooters.
- Pricing: Be transparent about pricing or include a range, with the option to request custom quotes (if you want)
3. What’s Included
- Pre-Session Consultations: Describe how you assist clients in planning (calls, emails, in-person meetings).
- Editing and Retouching: Explain your post-production process, especially if you offer retouching or custom edits.
- Photo Delivery: Outline how and when clients will receive their photos (online galleries, USBs, etc.).
4. Timeline
- Booking Process: How to book, what the next steps are after an inquiry, and any required deposits.
- Turnaround Time: Estimated time for editing and delivery.
- Session Duration: How long each session typically lasts and what to expect during the session.
5. FAQ Section
- Address common concerns like:
- What happens if the weather is bad?
- How many photos do clients receive?
- Do you travel for shoots?
- How far in advance to book?
- Cancellation or rescheduling policies.
6. Testimonials
- Include reviews or testimonials from past clients to build trust and showcase your reliability.
7. Why It’s Worth the Investment
- Highlight the long-term value of professional photography, the emotional impact of capturing moments, and how your expertise ensures quality.
8. Call to Action
- Encourage clients to get in touch, book a session, or schedule a consultation to discuss their needs.
Make sure your investment guide reflects your brand’s style and provides clarity while emphasizing the personal value of photography as an investment in memories!
