20 things you can do with your family this summer

 

It’s summer time and my favorite time of year. There is no better feeling than walking outside first thing in the morning and not being cold. You can’t change my mind! Summer means lots of days spent outdoors and time with friends and family. Whether you have older kids who are out of school or young toddlers that you are feeling a little extra nervous about keeping entertained on these long summer days, this post is for you.

I recently stumbled across a “summer bucket list” post and it inspired me to make one of my own and share it with you! My hope is that this encourages you to get creative this summer with fun things to do with your family. Remember: this doesn’t have to be complicated!

Most of the time kids are willing to do just about anything for fun if you set it up the right way. This is also a great list for those of you who might not live in town. I know for me, finding fun things to do at home is crucial since I live out in the country and won’t be doing the 30+ minute drive to go to a trampoline park every day. Can I get an amen?

On those extra hot afternoons, you might not be jumping at the idea to be outside all day long. So here is a list of 10 things you can do this summer that are indoors!

1. Bake a variety of cookies
2. Movie night! (set up sleeping bags and pillows on the floor for added fun!)
